Community fundraising
Cancer Council South Australia does not receive any direct government funding, we rely on the community for financial support. Each year, we receive more than $100,000 from community-led events such as memorial dinners, head shaves, collection tins, golf days, quiz nights and a wide range of other fun activities.
Thank you to all those who volunteer their time and energy to organising these activities to support our cause. Whether you are planning an open garden, white elephant stall, sporting activity, quiz night or any other event to raise money for Cancer Council South Australia, we need to know about it, in order to provide support and ensure compatibility with our objectives.
We can provide you with guidelines for organising your event and an application to raise funds. Once your application has been approved, we can provide you with the appropriate letter of authority and support in terms of signage and use of our logo.
Cancer Council South Australia has recently entered into a partnership with Community E Fundraising where our supporters are being given the opportunity to purchase great products and raise funds for our organisation's work in cancer control. Cancer Council South Australia cannot be involved in any event that promotes smoking and encourages outdoor activities to adopt a SunSmart policy. For more information on community fundraising please email us, or call our event hotline 1300 65 65 85
